Missionaries Supported by PVBC

Our Philosophy of Missions

Jesus promised to build His church (Matthew 16:18) and since the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 He has been doing just that. The means that He has sovereignly determined to accomplish this through the preaching of His gospel by Holy Spirit-empowered preaching (Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13-15).  He commissioned the first disciples, and it remains to this day, to “go and make disciples of all nations”…”teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20).

In an attempt to be faithful stewards of the finances that God provides and to be faithful to the Great Commission, the elders of Potter Valley Bible Church will use the following criteria in determining who we will support.

1. Those whose doctrine agrees with that of PVBC.
2. Those whose primary ministry is the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the teaching of the scriptures.
3. Those whose primary goal is the planting of indigenous local churches.
4. This would include the biblical training of indigenous men for church leadership (training institutes, seminaries…)
